Hentiva is an arts and culture magazine about the music, art and subculture that never quite makes the mainstream press until it already has.

We cover it loud and cover it early — new scenes, small galleries, zines, and the nightlife that shapes a city’s culture more than its museums do.

How we work

Every piece comes from someone who was actually in the room. When we cover a scene, it is because our writers are part of it, not observing it from a press release.

• Curated, not chaotic. Maximal in what we cover, precise in how we say it.
• Early, not consensus. We would rather be wrong about something new than right about something already big.
• Made by the scene. Our writers are in it, not reporting on it from outside.
